What we collect

Two categories of data:

• Account information. The details you give us to create and operate your account: name, email address, billing information, and any site names or descriptions you enter.
• Sensor readings. Water level, temperature, battery voltage, device diagnostics, and the time each reading was taken. Each reading is associated with a physical location — the sensor’s coordinates, or coordinates and site details you provide.

Your personal information

Your account information — name, contact details, billing information, and any site names or descriptions you enter — is never sold, traded, or shared with third parties for their own use. We use it only to operate your account, deliver the service, communicate with you about it, and meet legal obligations.

Sensor reading data

All sensor reading data collected through LEVELSTAT devices is the property of LEVELSTAT. We may share, license, collaborate on, aggregate, publish, or sell this reading data — now or in the future — including to researchers, public agencies, commercial partners, and paid subscribers to a data feed.

Reading data is tied only to a physical location (the sensor’s coordinates, or coordinates and descriptions you provide). It is never associated with your name, email, mailing address, payment card, or other identifying information when shared outside LEVELSTAT.

Where your data is stored

All data is housed in FedRAMP-compliant cloud storage in the United States.

Third-party services

LEVELSTAT relies on third-party infrastructure providers to store data, deliver the service, and process payments. While we choose providers with care, LEVELSTAT is not responsible for the performance of third parties, including service downtime, data loss, data breach, or any other failure of a provider — whether the data affected is sensor readings or your personal information. If a provider we use experiences a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy over time. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on this page.
