Water level
Sub-centimeter resolution, captured on a regular cadence and timestamped at the source so late-arriving readings still land on the correct minute.
Deep dive
A closer look at what the sensor measures, the problems it was built to solve, and how a reading travels from your water to your phone.
Every LEVELSTAT sensor is a sealed, cellular-connected unit that measures the water it sits in and streams those readings to our servers on a fixed schedule — no wiring, no gateway, no site-local network required.
Sub-centimeter resolution, captured on a regular cadence and timestamped at the source so late-arriving readings still land on the correct minute.
A waterproof probe reports temperature alongside every level reading, so you can correlate thermal and hydrological trends on the same timeline.
Battery voltage, cellular signal strength, and uptime are reported with every packet so we can spot a struggling site before the data does.
LEVELSTAT replaces the patchwork of manual readings, one-off data loggers, and Wi-Fi-tethered sensors that most water stewards are stuck with today.
Skip the weekly drive to the pond just to jot down a reading. LEVELSTAT produces a continuous record while you stay at your desk — or your boat.
Built-in cellular means you never have to run conduit, stand up a gateway, or convince someone’s router to let a new device on the network.
Readings are viewable on a simple public dashboard you can share with anyone — no app to install, no seats to buy, no per-user licensing.
Every data point is timestamped at the device, tagged with a site ID, and accompanied by the conditions the device was in when it captured the reading.
A new sample doesn’t need anything from you to reach the dashboard. Here’s the path it takes.
The level and temperature probes take a reading, the microcontroller adds a timestamp, and the result is queued in non-volatile memory so nothing is lost if the cellular connection hiccups.
On its scheduled cadence, the device wakes the LTE-M radio, authenticates against our ingestion endpoint, and uploads every pending reading in a single compact batch.
Readings are validated, de-duplicated, and written to the time-series store that powers your dashboard — usually within a few seconds of leaving the device.
When you open levelstat.com/sites/<id>,
the dashboard pulls the latest window of data and
renders level, temperature, and health at a glance.
LEVELSTAT is designed to run unattended for extended deployments on a primary lithium battery pack, paired with an included solar panel that keeps the battery topped off for permanent installs.
The radio uses LTE-M (Cat-M1), which gives strong rural-pond coverage, excellent battery life, and a graceful fallback to NB-IoT on carriers that support it. SIMs are pre-provisioned — you don’t choose a carrier or a plan.
The sensing enclosure is sealed, UV-stable, and rated for permanent outdoor installation. It is designed for continuous outdoor use — the level-sensing body and temperature probe are designed to sit in the water.
Every reading the sensor has ever produced is retained on our servers and available via your site’s dashboard for as long as the site has an active subscription.
Pick your LEVELSTAT sensor and take control of your water data.
